......there are changes like.....
|
Auntie R. and her husband T. moved here recently from Wisconsin. Their new apartment held treasure for T. man. Acorns. He constructed a chipmunk trap using the acorns as bait and then changed his mind and made it a friendly home. He is a little sad that there isnt a chipmunk in sight. I blame it on the 75lb. dog in the yard. Too bad he now spends 6 hours a day in a classroom and not out back duck taping creations.

......you know you are going to see these same picts on all the mom blogs. New backpacks and shoes just dont show the Feeling!BTW N.'s new favorite shirt has a picture of a video game being played with the caption" living the dream". Not so impressive to teachers but very impressive to his buddies. 7th grade seems to suit N. just fine. He was a little nervous about the maze his school halls are and opening his locker but a week later he feels comfortable. Hooray!

Lucky kid gets to catch the bus on our street, just 2 houses down. Some kids are driven to the stop by parents because their walk is so far.

Z. started 4th grade and has a super fun young teacher. She knows every kid in the class and is friends with most of them. Her first day choice of shirt is a little hidden but is so bright it lights up her already excited face. She was the only one so excited for school she wouldnt stop talking about it. T. got thru his first week by dragging himself home and collapsing basically. 1st grade is a big change for little guys. He loves it and has a fantastic seasoned teacher who knows perfectly how to treat these little guys. His great excitement for school was new fast running shoes. Orange. Wow.
I will post picts of kid #4 headed to school after Labor Day. Her backpack is as big as her entire body minus her head(almost), it's adorable. PreSchool at the kids same school will be just her thing, I know it.
